Rouge Valley

This is now a regular hike, not a picnic hike. You will have to bring your own lunch. This also means that we do not have to return to the parking lot at noon, making this hike a bit more of an adventure.

Directions

Please show up at Yonge and York Mills at 10:30 am, Sunday.

To get to Rouge Valley...

  1. Take Highway 401 east to Morningside Drive.
  2. From the exit ramp, turn left (north).
  3. Turn right on Sheppard Avenue.
  4. Pass Meadowvale Drive.
  5. Turn left (east) on Twyn Rivers Drive.
  6. Continue to a big sign that says "Rouge Park Twyn Rivers Area"
  7. The parking lot is on the right side of Twyn Rivers Drive, east of Sheppard.

We will start at around 11:15 am.

Hike Rating

This hike is easy to intermediate with some steep hills. The pace will be gentle. If you have not hiked before, this is a good time to try it out.
