Directions

Hockley Valley 2009/05/18

  1. Take Highway 401 west to Highway 409.
  2. Take Highway 409 west to Airport Road.
  3. Go north on Airport Road.
  4. Continue north on Airport Road through Caledon East, to Highway 9.
  5. Continue north, past Highway 9, to Hockely Valley Road, also called No. 7. You will see a flashing yellow light.
  6. Turn left onto Hockley Valley Road, and follow it west to 2nd line EHS. You will pass 4th line EHS, 3rd line EHS on the north side, 3rd line EHS on the south side, and finally, a gift shop and cafè on your left.
  7. Look for the Hockley Valley parking lot on the north side of the road.

We used to park on the side of the road, but as of 2012, there are No Parking signs everywhere, except in the nearby parking lot. They seem to be hinting about something.

The hike will start at around 11:30am.

Remarks

The hike will be twelve to thirteen kilometers with lots of hills. Wear your hiking boots and be ready for a workout.
