Dundas Valley
is down near Hamilton. It is a lovely park with lots
of hills, and a number of waterfalls. We are not sure yet what
route will be taken.
Directions
- Take Highway 401 West.
-
Exit Highway 401 and Highway 403 towards Hamilton.
Highway 403 leads to QEW west.
-
Stay on QEW West and keep to the right until you come to
Highway 403 Hamilton exit. The left exit is Niagara Falls
-- wrong way!
- When entering Hamilton, take the Main Street West exit (69-A).
- Turn left at the lights onto Main Street.
-
At the next lights, do not turn left. The name of the street
changes to Osler Drive.
-
After approxmately 4 kilometers, you will go down a small hill
and come to Governors road. There is a traffic light, and there is a
building with a large clock, just past it.
- Turn left onto Governors Rd.
-
After approxmately 3.5 kilometers along Governors Rd. you will
see a Conservation area sign which is the entrance to Dundas Valley .
The entrance is on the left hand side.
-
Drive approxmately one kilometer to the end of the road and park in
the lot with the large Dundas Valley sign.
-
Walk up the hill and meet at the old Railway Station and Trail Centre.
There is a sign indicating 200 meters.
Google Maps.
The hike will start from there at approximately 11:30.
Remarks
There is a $10.00 admission per vehicle, $15.00 if you bring a horse.
In the past, this has been an honour system with envelopes into which
you insert your money. This is another reason to carpool from
Yonge and York Mills.
