Start at Trailhead:11:30am

This is the Bruce Trail in the town of Dundas and Waterdown. See Maps 8 and 9 in your Bruce Trail guide.

From our meeting point at Yonge and York Mills...

  1. Drive west on Highway 401 to Highway 427 south.
  2. Take Highway 427 to the QEW. (This is called "kew" by my car's GPS.)
  3. Take the QEW west to Highway 403 west (Hamilton) to Highway 6 north.
  4. Go north on Highway 6 for approximately six kilometres, to the lights at Dundas Street.
  5. Turn right (west) onto Dundas Street and drive about 700 metres.
  6. Turn right into the plaza. This is 50-92 Dundas Street East. It has a Rona and a Walmart store.
  7. Drive south to the back of the plaza, between Staples and Rona, and park. You should be right at the edge of the quarry to access the trail.

Here is a Google Maps link to 88 Dundas Street East, Dundas, Ontario L9H 7K6. This happens to be the address for Staples.

We can extend this hike if the group is up to it. A good Après hike spot is the Royal Coachman Pub, at 1 Main Street North, Waterdown.
