Detailed directions to the hike starting point

From Old York Mills Road at 10:00am...

  1. Take Highway 401 west to Highway 410.
  2. Go north on Highway 410. This now curves to the west and it picks up Highway 10.
  3. Continue north on Highway 10.
  4. Travel past Regional Road 9, Flapjacks restaurant, and Forks of the Credit Road.
  5. Turn left (West) at Escarpment Sideroad. This intersection is hard to see, so pay attention.
  6. Park at the corner of Willoughby Road and Escarpment SideRoad, where the road makes a sweeping right hand turn.

The start time is 11:30am. Here is the start point on Google Maps.

Notes

This will be a Level 2 hike. The distance will be around 12 kilometers. The speed will be around 3-4 km/hr. We will hike out to the old power station at the cataracts, and then down through the park.
