Grindstone Falls

This is on the Bruce Trail, out near Hamilton.

Directions

The parking lot is small, so any carpooling anybody can do will be appreciated. From our standard carpool pickup at Old York Mills Road...

  1. Take Highway 401 to Highway 403.
  2. Take Highway 403 to its (temporary) end at the QEW, and go west on the QEW.
  3. Near Hamilton, the QEW splits into two expressways. Stay to the right, Highway 403. Do not take the left lanes. They are the QEW as it goes over the Burlington Skyway toward Niagara.
  4. Exit at Waterdown Road and drive north. At some point, you go up a hill and then come back down again.
  5. The parking lot is on the left side, just as you are about to reach a railroad bridge.
  6. Park in the parking lot!

We start at 11:30am. Google Maps directions. According to Google, the address is "150 Mill St S, Hamilton, ON L0R". We don't know where the rest of the postal code went.

Remarks

We will be hiking along the escarpment, starting and ending at Grindstone Falls.
