We have a new hike and a new hike leader — Happy Valley, just outside King City! We will be hiking on the Oak Ridge Trail.

Directions

From our meeting point at Yonge and York Mills.

  1. Take Yonge Street north to Highway 401 West.
  2. Take Highway 401 West to Highway 400.
  3. Take Highway 400 North to King Road.
  4. Take King Road west to Weston Road.
  5. Take Weston Road north to 16th Sideroad.
  6. Park on the north side of 16th Sideroad.

There is not a lot of parking space, so carpooling at Yonge and York Mills. will be appreciated.

Remarks

Probably, we will do the Goldie Feldman Nature Reserve Trail, about fourteen kilometres. This is described on the website as moderately challenging. We will be watching the weather as the weekend approaches. A little rain on a hike is not a big problem.
